GermanCollectors was a german collector community focused on Funko, Hot Toys, and Sideshow. The now-offline Discord bot featured tools like shop monitors, an FAQ system and social media integrations to enhance the collector experience.

The website serves as a hub for essential information and includes a live member counter for the Discord server.

FAQ Feature
This feature enables users to interact with a machine learning model through the Discord bot, making it easy to get quick answers to common questions. Powered by Dialogflow, the bot processes messages in which it is mentioned. The message content is sent to Dialogflow for analysis, which then provides the most relevant predefined response.
The bot’s functionality allows for direct interaction with users, answering server-related questions, or even sharing a joke or two.
Twitter Feed
The Twitter feed integration leverages the Tweepy library to fetch the latest tweets from specific users. Tweepy triggers an event whenever a new tweet is published, making it simple to post notifications in a Discord channel.
The challenge lies in parsing hashtags, links, and images separately to ensure they are properly displayed as clickable links or embedded images in the Discord channel.

Shop Monitors
Shop monitors act as web crawlers that fetch product listings from various online stores. The crawlers parse details such as title, link, price, and availability. Each item is checked against a database to determine whether it is new or if its status has changed. If so, a notification is sent to a Discord channel.
Currently, 26 shops are supported.

SuchAgent Bot
SuchAgent is a specialized bot that notifies users when a shop monitor detects an item matching specific keywords. Users can configure multiple keywords to trigger notifications. When a shop monitor from GermanCollectors identifies a product that matches a user’s keywords, the bot promptly sends an alert.
